Baby Ruth Candy Bars 24ct. Feature

  • Bursting with peanuts, rich caramel and chewy nougat
  • Full size bars
Baby Ruth Candy Bar is made of chocolate-covered peanuts, caramel and nougat and is produced in full size 2.1-ounce bars, a 3.7-ounce King Size, and in packages of Fun Size and Miniatures. The Baby Ruth Candy Bar was originally named Kandy Kake by its inventor, Curtiss Candy Company, who re-worked and re-named it the Baby Ruth Candy Bar in 1921. Curtiss was purchased by Nabisco in 1981 and, in 1990, RJR Nabisco sold the Curtiss brands to Nestlé who continues to be the current manufacturer. Although many people believe the Baby Ruth Candy Bar to be named after the famous slugger Babe Ruth, the Curtiss Candy Company has always claimed that it was named after the daughter of President Grover Cleveland; Ruth Cleveland. Interestingly, the Curtiss Candy Company was located on the same street as Wrigley Field and changed the candy's original name from " Kandy Kake" to "Baby Ruth" during the time Babe Ruth's career was on the rise; 30 years after President Cleveland had left the white house, and 17 years after his daughter, Ruth, had died. Many people saw the explanation of the origin of the name to be a cunning way to avoid paying Babe Ruth any royalties. Baby Ruth Bars with Peanuts, Rich Caramel & Chewy Nougat. 24 - 2.1oz bars.
